History
Richard Matthews started working at a Fiat, Mg, Triumph
dealership In Birmingham in 1970.In 1980 he started his own
family business, Matthews Parts. He started buying out
inventories and parting out cars. Almost 1500
British, Swedish, and Italian cars (including roughly 500
fiats) have been parted out and put in stock under the
factory part numbers. Usually the customer had the option of
new or used on most any part.
In 1995 the family
purchased a 35,000 foot three story building in downtown
Birmingham. It was built in the 1930s and was a former meat
packing plant. The "haunted" like building was perfect for
storing the vintage car Parts. Thirty years later Matthews
Parts is still going strong and ready to help keep your car
going!
